 "
From the auxiliarist conducting a courtesy vessel examination, to the procurement specialist acquiring personal protective equipment, to the rescue swimmer, the boat crewmember, the cutter coxswain and the command center operations controller, each of you is vital to our ability to execute our missions.  We work as a team and we succeed as a team."

Division 10 First Southern   Region

As part of "Team Coast Guard," Division 10 serves the Lower Hudson River area including Northeastern New Jersey, and portions of Orange and Rockland County in New York.  Our area of responsibility includes the Hudson, Passaic and Hackensack Rivers as well as Greenwood Lake and Lake Hopatcong.  Division 10 provides administrative, training, communication and supervisory support to eight flotillas which proudly serve the New York metropolitan area and inland lakes.

While Division 10 does not directly provide services to the general public, each of our flotillas provides boating education classes, vessel safety checks and much more.

Division 10 flotillas at sea and in the air assist the U.S. Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as safety patrols, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.

If you are interested in recreational boating safety or becoming an air observer or an Auxiliary pilot, and would like more information about our programs, or even becoming a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, you may contact us and we will refer your inquiry to the appropriate flotilla, or you may contact one of our flotillas directly.

We welcome your interest.

Division 10, First Southern Region (1SR)
